Time Job Details The primary objective of the Electrical Project
Engineer is to develop electro-mechanical microprocessor-based
products for the critical environment airflow control industry. The
ideal candidate must be proficient in analog and digital circuit
design and capable of developing algorithms and writing embedded
programs which meet the product functional design requirements.
In-Office position based in Fairfield County, Connecticut
RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for new product development of
microprocessor-based electromechanical products from initial design
concept to manufacturing release. Develop detailed design plans and
specifications based on functional requirements and budget
constraints. Develop the project schedule and coordinate the
project related activities of team members (in-house and
subcontractor) to ensure the product development effort progresses
on schedule and within the prescribed budget. Use computer assisted
engineering and design tools to perform engineering tasks
thoroughly and efficiently. Develop test specifications and carry
out design verification testing to ensure design meets the
performance requirements imposed by the functional specification.
Coordinate and schedule pre-compliance and agency compliance
testing, including CE and UL. Provide technical training and
support to engineering, manufacturing and sales personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS Experience Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical
Engineering from an accredited university is required. Minimum of
ten years’ experience working in a manufacturing company in the
capacity of product development and design of electronic and/or
electro-mechanical microprocessor-based products. Experience with
the integration of color LCD touch-screen displays into product
design. Experience designing products with RS-485, Ethernet, USB
and wireless communications. Experience designing products with ARM
based microcontrollers. Specific experience designing with the NXP
LPC1700 Series 32-Bit Microcontroller and STM32 is extremely
beneficial. Candidates must be computer literate and proficient in
MS Office, Outlook, MS Project, Visio Technical, Mathcad, Labview,
Schematic Capture Software, PCB Layout Software and Embedded
Firmware Development Tools. Embedded Software Development using C,
C++. Working knowledge of closed-loop control systems using
feedback process variables such as airflow, pressure and
temperature. Experience troubleshooting and debugging electronic
based products and systems. Experience with ultrasonic sensors.
