Job Description:

Everest is seeking an Azure Cloud Architect to join the Everest Information Technology Infrastructure department, located at the US headquarters in Warren, New Jersey.

The desired candidate will be responsible for architecting, engineering, and implementing Azure cloud infrastructure as well as performing day to day support of its cloud infrastructure. Successful candidates must have worked in Microsoft Azure environments and have an excellent understanding of cloud concepts. The candidate must possess strong technical aptitude, analytical skills, communications skills, and demonstrated great problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare technical documentation and diagrams to communicate solution architectures.
• Work closely with Enterprise Architects to align solution implementation with enterprise architecture and business strategy.
• Participate in relevant solution design review activities to ensure alignment to cloud architecture, strategies, and principles.
• Foster collaboration with software product development, architecture, and IT teams to ensure releases are delivered with repeatable and auditable processes.
• Assist in architecting, designing, and implementing cloud-based IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions
• Design, develop and implement automation to support continuous delivery and continuous integration solutions
• Automate code deployment in Microsoft Azure through Infrastructure-as-Code
• Governance of Azure cloud infrastructure using Azure Policy, Blueprints, and Azure Defender for Cloud.
• Develop automated methodologies for deployment activities, configuration management, supporting systems and business processes.
• Proactively analyze and contribute improvements to support our deployment processes
• Drive compliance and security efforts related to systems managed by the team. Work Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
  • Certified Azure Solutions Architect a plus
  • 5+ years of relevant job experience.
  • Proficiency architecting, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure and topologies.
  • Experience configuring and tuning cloud hosted solutions and platforms.
  • Experience with performance analysis, troubleshooting and remediation techniques.
  • Experience with identity and access management, governance tools, encryption and key management principles, and secure cloud design patterns.
  • Experience with networking principles and technologies (DNS, Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies).
  • Experience with agile, automation and DevOps principles.
  • Multi-region and Disaster Recovery experience.
  • Container management and orchestration experience.
  • Proficient in developing infrastructure through ARM templates or Azure Bicep
  • Experience with Azure Policy and Blueprints
  • Must be organized and detailed oriented with the ability to work independently on multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communications and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile development lifecycles
