(PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the
independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates, which
operate non-profit health centers across the U.S. PPFA also works
to educate the public on and advocate for issues of sexual and
reproductive health. Formed as the advocacy arm of Planned
Parenthood Federation of America, Planned Parenthood Action Fund is
a separate non-profit membership organization tax-exempt under
section 501(c)(4). The Action Fund engages in educational,
advocacy, and limited electoral activity, including grassroots
organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education in
furtherance of the Planned Parenthood mission. Planned Parenthood
Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund
(Action Fund)seek an eager and experienced Patient Advocacy Project
Manager. This job reports to the Director of Patient Advocacy
Campaigns in the Organizing, Engagement, and Campaigns department.
The Organizing, Engagement, and Campaigns department provides
campaign strategy and organizing tactical support to PPFA and
Action Fund’s national and local advocacy campaigns and Action Fund
and PPVotes’ electoral campaigns. This role is expected to begin in
March 2026 and end in December 2026. Purpose: This position manages
and implements storytelling tactics for the Planned Parenthood
national office by building and maintaining strong relationships
with teams across the Federation and with individual storytellers
to ensure PPFA or Action Fund campaigns’ storytelling goals are
met. Engagement: Partners with local Planned Parenthood
organizations to recruit and engage storytellers for PPFA and
Action Fund’s national and local advocacy campaigns and Action
Fund’s electoral campaigns. Collaborates across teams at the
national office to execute tactics to elevate storytellers
externally. Supports patient advocates and storytellers through
public engagements to ensure ethical storytelling practices are
followed. Liaises with national electoral organizations on
storytelling work while supporting Planned Parenthood’s ethical
storytelling practices on behalf of Action Fund and PPVotes.
Delivery: Responsible for storyteller recruitment efforts including
implementation of recruitment strategy of new and existing
storytellers Ensures accurate and timely data collection and
tracking for all National Office storytelling efforts Manages
Action Fund and PPVotes’ requests for engaging Planned Parenthood
storytellers and spokespeople for federal and state electoral
campaigns through finding an appropriate storyteller, negotiating
deadlines and content, and supporting the storyteller to complete
the request. Coordinates with partner organizations and/or vendors
on logistics for storytelling engagement opportunities and works
directly with storyteller and/or direct point of contact supporting
storyteller Works with Action Fund and PPVotes’ electoral staff and
the Office of General Counsel to ensure compliance on electoral
storytelling engagements Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): The ideal candidate thrives
in a fast-paced work environment, learns quickly, can think on
their feet and is able to engage with a wide variety of people from
different backgrounds. Experience of developing storytelling as a
leadership practice is required. Minimum of 3 years of progressive
campaign and or organizing experience preferred. High school
diploma or equivalent required. Ability to manage competing
priorities required. Ability to work autonomously and in teams,
including with key external partners. Ability to create and
implement tracking systems and develop streamlined processes
required. Customer service skills are required. Must be a
self-starter and possess strong interpersonal skills. Experience
working in diverse communities with extensive knowledge of
diversity and inclusion, and sensitivity/appreciation to cultural
differences is required. Passionate, entrepreneurial approach to
work. Excellent communication, writing, editing, and organizational
skills. $87,000 - $90,000 a year Travel: 0 - 20% domestic Planned
