Associate, Banker - Industry/Country Coverage with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Multiple positions available. Provides bespoke financial advisory services covering mergers and acquisitions, capital raising (debt and equity) including Initial Public Offerings, takeover defense, and general strategic advice to financial institution clients, specifically in the financial technology and asset management sector. Independently drives analysis and deliverables that underpin the firm's financial advisory services and actively participates in the business development process, including attending formal client meetings. Requires: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Management Science, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years with the following: analyzing accounting and regulatory statements, agreements and documents, and financial projections / models as prepared in various formats by clients in the asset management industry across North America; developing valuation analyses; applying US and international accounting standards (US GAAP and IFRS) for asset management companies; preparing presentations for senior client executives including the CEO and CFO on accounting and corporate finance matters; communicating externally with clients, and tracking and reporting progress to senior leadership; and developing presentations and analyses using Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint. Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York- based position is $175,000/year - $225,000/year.
