Your tasksLeads Development Engineering teams at H+S Astrolab. Supports product development projects within H+S Astrolab.The PMD department is responsible for product and technology development, as well as, product management, bringing professional expertise and product know-how into the HUBER+SUHNER organization and to the customer, and being a reliable partner for product-specific questions.Enabling everybody to contribute ideas, commit to their implementation and implement these initiatives together. More specifically, together with Market Management and the Global sales organization, PMD knows and understands the need of Lead Customers/Prospects to ensure sustainable success in the targeted markets. Initiated by or aligned with Market Management, PMD completes, develops and manages a competitive leading edge product portfolio for each targeted market in order to grow and reinforce our Product Leadership positioning at all times. In partnership with Global Operations, PMD defines the necessary supply chain setup. We define the environment to supply products on time and at the right locations based on the relevant information/forecast provided via Market Management and Global Sales, as well as the product specific stock profile.Develops and motivates the Mechanical, Electrical and RF Engineering organization and team to meet and exceed expectations through effective selection, communication, training, performance management and reward and recognition processes and succession planningManages throughput for connector development and design projects, Engineering Change Notices, and daily Engineering Department function.Responsible to implement and effectively manage the objectives, projects and tasks.Works to provide necessary tools and methods, measure performance based upon KPI's and continuously improve on product and process level.Effectively manages and implements all aspects of the AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management System within the connector product development and test functions of the Engineering Department.Works to ensure full compliance with legal and business requirements, with relevant standards, work-safety with the assistance of legal advisors where necessary.Adheres to all regulations and guidelines contained within the Global Management System.Strong interfacing with all members of the Engineering Department.Active involvement in weekly PMD Management and Staff Review Meetings.Provides technical guidance to the connector product Engineering team.Responsible for the resource and priority planning for documentation requests and connector product development projects.All other relevant duties as assignedYour perspective Physical/Mental Abilities:Must have the physical and mental abilities needed to perform all essential tasks listed; reasonable accommodations may be made to help the job holder perform essential tasks.Must be able to work and respond well under sometimes stressful and demanding work conditions.Warren, NJYour profile Education:BS Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or other related field.Experience:Minimum of 5 years of RF or Aerospace product design experienceMinimum of 5 years of demonstrated effective management experience of personnel performing technical functions.Experience in product life cycle management.Skills/Knowledge:Market and Application know-how for Components and Components for Assemblies (including potential game-changing trends or technology drivers).Product know-how for Components and Components for Assemblies (including competition landscape).Technical expertise in High/Radio Frequency Technology, Component and Component for Assembly Manufacturing Processes.Engineering control methods.Quality and sustainability driven mind-set.Product know-how in the field of high frequency and microwave technologies.Good knowledge of Microsoft, PDM, ERP, SAP.Project Management Skills.People Leadership/Line Supervision Skills in a product management environment.Explicit, cogent and lucid communication skills in both internal and external organization municate, persuade, motivate and develop people.Attention to detail.Languages skills (fluent in English).Ability to create and live a climate of entrepreneurial spirit.PersonalQualifications:Ability to handle change effectively.Customer focus and an ability to deal with customers and peers with tact and diplomacy.Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds; ability to exercise cultural awareness and sensitivity.Capable of handling multiple tasks in parallel.
