Job Description:

Basic Function of the Job

Oversee equipment engineering and maintenance operations for running a 24X7 wafer fab operation. Drive technical understanding of key equipment operating parameters and develop an effective preventative maintenance plan to maximize MTBF and minimize MTTR. Drive root cause analysis and corrective action for equipment breakdowns. Build a best-in-class maintenance organization by driving staffing, training, and distribution of PMs hours within the defined cell structure to insure equipment uptime and availability meet shop needs. Drive continuous improvement in order to achieve best in class performance. Implement TPM methods in order to drive a Maintain Not Repair Philosophy as well as key performance metrics, such as Mean Wafers Between Failures .

Job Elements

Equipment Engineering 35%

Oversee Equipment Engineering effort. Work with the team to fully understand key equipment operating parameters and causes for breakdown. Enhance the current preventative maintenance program to maximize equipment uptime. Insure an adequate spare parts inventory is available for PMs and Repairs for all equipment.

Maintenance 35%

Manage the maintenance staff and performance. Drive communication and staffing across shifts. Drive down MTTR through training and elimination of issues. Manager Overtime. Integrate maintenance and EE efforts by optimizing PM procedure and insuring effective PM & repair practices in order to reduce downtime.

Management 20%

Work with directors, supervisors, engineering, purchasing, scheduling and maintenance to develop a fully integrated plan for overall improvement of equipment performance.

Reporting 5%

Provide reports on equipment performance, progress, and any equipment issues impacting the attainment of goals.

Planning 5%

Create project improvement plans for key pieces of equipment to improve uptime, reduce scrap, and reduce cycle time.
