Job Description:
Global Financial Firm located in RUTHERFORD, NJ has an immediate
contract opportunity for an experienced Application Developer "This
role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule. You will need to have
reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access
into the client systems during remote work. We will be expected in
the office weekly 3 days depending on the team requirement. Video/
f2f interviews are required prior to all offers. Pay rate range: $
52.00 - $ 62.00 Negotiable based upon years of experience The
Applications Development Senior Programmer is an intermediate level
position responsible for participation in the establishment and
implementation of new or revised application systems and programs
in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of
this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and
programming activities. Responsibilities: Utilize knowledge of
applications development procedures and concepts, and basic
knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary
system enhancements, including using script tools and
analyzing/interpreting code Consult with users, clients, and other
technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions,
install, and support customer exposure systems Apply fundamental
knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security
issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging Serve as advisor
or coach to new or lower level analysts Identify problems, analyze
information, and make evaluative judgement to recommend and
implement solutions Resolve issues by identifying and selecting
solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience
and guided by precedents Has the ability to operate with a limited
level of direct supervision. Can exercise independence of judgement
and autonomy. Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team
members. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are
made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's
reputation and safeguarding Banking, its clients and assets, by
driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations,
adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding
personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating,
managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications: 5-8 years of relevant experience in large scale
Apps development as a Java developer Hands-on experience in Spring,
Spring boot, Java 17, Hibernate, Design patterns, Microservices,
Docker, Kubernetes, etc. Good working knowledge of source code
control tools and technologies is a must. Strong fundamentals of
OOPS (Object Oriented Programming Standards) Concepts, Data
Structures, and Algorithms Strong experience developing and
architecting integrated solution with non-functional requirements
like scalability, high availability, consistency. Strong experience
with API and Web Services development using REST/SOAP protocols
Fundamental database concepts and experience with a relational
database (MSSQL, Oracle) or NoSQL platforms. Ability and
willingness to work across multiple tools, frameworks, and
technology stacks. Fundamental understanding of and experience with
cloud platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes A good understanding of
Standard, Enterprise Design Patterns, and SOLID principles Required
Skills: Java 17 Spring Core, Sprint Boot, Hibernate Junit testing
frameworks, Mockito Oracle concepts, SQL, PL/SQL Angular 15 Skills
that are a plus: React Familiarity with open source and proprietary
tech including Kafka. Appian BPMN (RHPAM, IBM BAMOE) Applied
understanding of DevOps, Docker Compose Education: Bachelor s
degree/University degree or equivalent experience This job
