Position Type: Student Support Services/ School Nurse Date Posted: 1/5/2025 Location: Non-Public Nursing Services Date Available: Immediately Closing Date: 04/17/2026 Non-Public Nursing Services - Chapter 226 Nursing Services for Non-public Dept Non-Public Nursing Services 1690 Stelton Road Piscataway, NJ 08854 POSITION: Chapter 226 Nurse Ten (10) Month Position START DATE: Immediately - Pending Criminal History Clearance REQUIREMENTS: Must hold a current NJ RN License CPR/AED Certification/Registered Nurse license by the NJ State of Board of Nursing. Positions vary in hours based on student enrollement. Training provided. REPORT TO: Director of Nonpublic School Services FUNCTIONS: To provide nursing services mandated by Chapter 226 to Nonpublic students DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Assist with medical examinations including dental screening. Conduct hearing screening, adhering to N.J.A.C 6:29-5, Audiometric Screening Maintain student health records in accordance with state regulations and notify parents/guardians. Principal and local or county health officials of any student who has not been properly immunized. Prepare annual reports on the immunization status of pupils in each assigned nonpublic School for the State Department of Health per regulations N.J.A.C. 8:57-4.8. Conduct examination of pupils between the ages of 10 and 18 for scoliosis Prepare reports, as required, by state rules and regulations and as directed by the Superintendent. Report reportable Diseases to local Health department.
