Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A specialized opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing. This position offers a fast-paced environment focused on complex cardiovascular cases requiring precision, clinical mastery, and advanced surgical support. Candidates with a minimum of 2.5 years of CVOR experience and proficiency with EPIC charting will thrive in this role. Key Qualifications and Experience: - Active RN license in New Jersey or compact state at time of application - BLS certification mandatory - Minimum 2.5 years of CVOR nursing experience - Extensive clinical skills in cardiovascular procedures including valve replacements, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), TAVR, aortic aneurysm repair, vascular surgeries such as carotid endarterectomy, endovascular AAA, angiograms, and complex hybrid OR cases - Demonstrated knowledge and practice within hybrid operating rooms and main OR for orthopedic, general, gynecologic, robotic, neuro, and pediatric surgery - EPIC electronic medical record charting experience Work Schedule and Responsibilities: - 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 AM 7:30 PM) for a 13-week contract - On-call rotation 24 hours on Saturdays/Sundays (one weekend per month) and 8-hour shift on weekdays as scheduled - Holiday work requirements per unit needs - Must adhere to call-off policies limiting shift absences - Support multidisciplinary teams in a cardiovascular-focused quaternary care setting Facility Highlights:Located in Elizabeth, NJ, this cardiovascular program operates within a nationally recognized 665-bed academic medical center affiliated with leading medical institutions.
