Job Description:

A New Jersey-based biotechnology organization is currently seeking a new Clinical / Translational Medicine Consultant to join their growing Clinical Research team in a Remote capacity. In this role, the Clinical / Translational Medicine Consultant (Remote) will be responsible for providing medical and scientific inputs as part of a cross-functional matrix team focused on identifying potential new indications for one of their products.Responsibilities:The Clinical / Translational Medicine Consultant (Remote) will:

• Evaluate potential new indications
• Assess the treatment paradigm in individual disease pathologies and determine unmet medical needs
• Evaluate the alignment of mechanism with unmet medical need, including differentiation from standard of care and potential future treatments in development
• Assess the clinical developability for a given indication; including identification of relevant clinical trial endpoints to support the mechanism of action, unmet medical need and clinical study design to support regulatory approval.
• Review and summarize the scientific / medical literature, medical treatment guidance, relevant clinical trials, review of competitor intelligence and other relevant information
• Support early planning of clinical development strategies
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and work instructions
• Perform other duties, as neededQualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Clinical Development and/or Translational Medicine
  • Master's Degree
  • Strong translational ability to connect Mechanistic Biology / Pathophysiology to patient disease phenotypes
  • Strong experience in Immunology and/or Autoimmune
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organizedDesired Skills:
    • MD/DO, PhD, or PharmD
