This integrative staff role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a next step towards a meaningful career. -The full time Infection Prevention nurse to their award winning healthcare team. -In addition to being a part of the award winning healthcare team, the Respiratory Therapy Manager would be joining a hospital that houses close to 500 licensed beds. This academic institution services the lower borough residents as a leader in acute, medical and surgical care. The Medical center has earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for quality and patient safety. As a designated stroke and trauma center the hospital has received top national recognition from the American Heart and Stroke Association. The state of the art facility provides quality care to each patient through selective innovative medical practices supported through top of the line medical technology and equipment. -The Infection prevention RN is responsible for surveillance, case finding and analysis of nosocomial infection data. Identifies trends and opportunities for improvement based upon data collected. Reinforces infection control guidelines and isolation precautions to prevent transmission of infection. They will have the opportunity to perform rounds with the Infectious disease and environment care committee. Switching gears the Infection Prevention RN will investigate and prepare reports regarding communicable diseases spread, ICRAs, other significant epidemiological occurrences and other studies. -Requirements include: -

• NYS RN license required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required and Certified in Infection Control preferred
