Do it here.What you'll be doing...The Senior Creative Director
(Art) works with a Sr. CD (Copy) partner to create, mold, and push
creative ideas for the Verizon Creative Marketing Group.Their
attention to detail and art direction craft is paramount, but they
also need to partner directly with marketing stakeholders and think
strategically to help solve creative briefs. Their primary
responsibility is to be the key integrators of our omnichannel
marketing communications. They are also tasked with creating
innovative concepts that amplify our strategy to make an impact
with the consumer.
Provides creative direction to
integrate campaign work across brand channels, and coaching while
partnering with staff to accomplish creative objectives.Provides
creative quality control over concepts and execution.Helps to set a
tone of cooperation within the creative group and across the
organization; promotes a "be of service" solution-oriented
mentality across the creative team.Builds a collective team vision
and defines goals and objectives.Gives the team proper recognition
and credit for their contributions.The ideal candidate:
Directs complex, large-scale project
activities and effectively leads and manages work of the creative
team.Leads execution of Tier 1 creative work on select projects
including development of sketches/prototypes and imagery selection
or headlines and copy in our brand channels.Provides brand guidance
and direction to ensure consistent alignment with brand voice
standards.Motivates the team to deliver a consistently high-level
of quality as evaluated by stakeholders.Guides the workload,
development, and growth of direct reports.Where you'll be
working:In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location
that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your
manager.What we're looking for...You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more
years of work experience.Six or more years of relevant work
experience.Experience leading and managing medium to large
teams.In-house or agency experience.Experience using appropriate
software: G-Suite, MS Word.A portfolio.Even better if you have one
or more of the following:
A Bachelor's degree in Advertising,
Design, English, Journalism, or a related field.Demonstrated
creative conceptualization skills.Ten or more years of relevant
work experience; with five as an Assistant Creative Director or
above.Big-picture thinking. Demonstrated ability to create
world-class concepts to address business issues and construct great
case studies.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage
differing viewpoints so the final product remains true to the
objective.Proven leadership skills to maximize team
talents.Hands-on experience in at least one creative discipline:
design, copywriting, video production.Effective communication and
presentation skills.Working knowledge in industry-standard software
and tools such as the Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Office, Adobe
Acrobat, project management software, and online market
research.Demonstrates experience in brand development, product
launches as well as traditional and emerging multichannel
marketing. Experience on tech brands is even better.Leads and
mentors team in the ideation process leveraging research, analytics
and brand insights.Develops creative strategies to address
marketing and business objectives.Articulates the creative
rationale that drives the concept's execution and tactics.Directs
team as brand advocates, but also encourages and develops new
interpretations of the brand standards and out-of-the-box
approaches to grow the verbal and visual identity of the brand to
meet ever expanding company needs.Leads with passion that energizes
the team to over-deliver against expectations and results in high
employee engagement and overall job satisfaction.Celebrates team
and individual successes and creates a safe environment for
constructive feedback.Anticipates problems and sees how a problem
and its solution will affect other projects, people or
processes.Understands that all projects require attention to detail
so that work is on-time, on-budget and on-strategy.Delegates
properly and does not get caught up in being a production or
process manager.Expects the team to push new thinking and will
challenge clich or rerun ideas.Confidently and diplomatically
stewards new ideas through the organization on behalf of the
