Part-Time School-Based Physical Therapist Location: Monroe, NY Schedule: 2 Days per Week | Flexible Scheduling | 20252026 School Year Contract Position This part-time opportunity involves providing physical therapy services to school-aged students in a supportive school environment for the 20252026 academic year. The role requires delivering individualized physical therapy to enhance students mobility, strength, and functional independence while collaborating with educators, families, and school staff. Responsibilities: - Deliver physical therapy services aligned with IEP goals and relevant state education guidelines - Assess and evaluate students to develop tailored treatment plans - Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to monitor and support student progress - Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, providing professional insights and recommendations - Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports consistent with district and education department standards - Facilitate generalization of motor skills across educational and social settings Qualifications: - Masters or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program - Current New York Physical Therapy License or eligibility to obtain - Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy is highly preferred - Familiarity with CSE processes and state Department of Education requirements is a plus - Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Benefits: - Competitive pay commensurate with experience and credentials - Supportive school-based environment with flexibility in scheduling - Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student mobility and independence Qualified candidates interested in this school-based physical therapy contract position are encouraged to apply to contribute to student success in Monroe, NY, during the 20252026 school year.
