Duration: January 2025 - June 2025 Compensation: $20-25/hour About
GO Tutor Corps GO Tutor Corps is a nonprofit organization providing
high-impact tutoring and teacher residency programs to high-need
schools across seven states. We partner with districts serving
economically disadvantaged students to close achievement gaps and
strengthen educational opportunities where they are needed most.
Position Overview GO Ambassadors serve as local representatives of
GO Tutor Corps, building awareness and generating partnership
opportunities within their communities. This role is ideal for
current Fellows, alumni, or community advocates who are passionate
about educational equity and want to extend GO Tutor Corps' reach
during our critical partner procurement season. Primary
Responsibilities Community Engagement (Primary Focus) Attend 1-2
local education-related events per week (back-to-school nights,
school fairs, nonprofit gatherings, community meetings, etc.) Staff
information tables and engage educators, administrators, and
community leaders Share GO Tutor Corps mission, program model, and
partnership opportunities Distribute materials and answer general
questions about the organization Lead Generation & Intelligence
Gathering Identify and track relevant community events, nonprofit
gatherings, and educational forums in your region Collect contact
information from interested district leaders, principals, and
decision-makers Document conversations and pass qualified leads to
VP of Partnerships for follow-up Serve as local eyes and ears on
district priorities, budget cycles, and partnership receptivity
Optional: Event Creation Organize small-scale informational
sessions or coffee chats with local educators (optional but
encouraged) Coordinate attendance at district-hosted community
events Reporting Submit biweekly reports documenting events
attended, contacts made, and partnership intelligence gathered
Participate in biweekly check-ins with Director of Partnerships
Ideal Candidate Profile Required: Deep familiarity with your local
education landscape (current or former educators, Fellows, or
active community members strongly preferred) Passion for GO Tutor
Corps' mission of serving economically disadvantaged students
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Self-directed and
proactive in identifying community engagement opportunities
Reliable transportation to attend local events Availability for
evening and occasional weekend events Strongly Preferred: Current
or former GO Tutor Corps Fellow Existing relationships with local
schools, districts, or nonprofits Experience in community
organizing, outreach, or sales Knowledge of Title I schools and
high-need districts in your area Geographic Priority Areas We are
actively recruiting Ambassadors in the following states and
regions, with particular focus on communities serving our target 50
priority districts: Connecticut (Hartford region, New Haven,
Bridgeport) New York (Capital region, Rochester, Buffalo, NYC
suburbs) New Jersey (Newark, Camden, Trenton, Jersey City)
Massachusetts (Boston, Springfield, Worcester) Washington
DC/Virginia (DC, Alexandria, Arlington, Richmond) Pennsylvania
(Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs) Louisiana (New Orleans,
Baton Rouge, Shreveport) Multiple Ambassadors per state/region are
welcome and encouraged. Time Commitment & Compensation Time
Commitment: 8-10 hours per month (approximately 5 events per week)
Duration: January 2025 - June 2025 (partner procurement season)
Compensation: $20-25/hour What We Provide Comprehensive training on
GO Tutor Corps programs and partnership model All marketing
materials, brochures, and branded items Direct partnership support
and lead follow-up Access to Director of Partnerships for questions
and strategic guidance Success Metrics Short-term: Number of events
attended, community connections made, and qualified leads generated
each month Long-term: Contribution to successful partnership
procurement and expansion goals
