Job Description Job Description Job Description: The Estimator will be responsible for accurately performing Erosion and Sediment Control and landscaping take-offs. This includes analyzing project plans, specifications, and other relevant data to determine the time, labor, materials, and other resources needed. The Estimator will work closely with project managers to develop comprehensive cost estimates as needed. Key Responsibilities: Analyzing project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to identify scope and associated requirements. Developing cost estimates for projects, including material costs, labor costs, equipment costs, and other associated expenses. Utilizing spreadsheets / associated templates to build project estimates. Collaborating with project managers, and subcontractors, to gather information and ensure accuracy of estimates. Preparing and presenting cost estimates to clients and project managers. Maintaining accurate records of all cost estimates and related documentation within operating system. Required Skills and Qualifications: 10 years of experience in Erosion and Sediment Control, construction, or a related estimating field. Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., construction management, engineering, mathematics) is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. General Proficiency in cost estimating software and tools including the use of computer takeoff programs. Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of construction industry practices and procedures.
